New Year = New Look.

Hello everyone and Happy Sunday.

Still feeling lousy, but I won’t let that keep me from my true passion, that is blogging for you guys. Even if it IS from my bed.

So I have been seeing a lot of these articles on social media about new year’s resolutions and tips for sticking to your resolutions. I won’t write about what YOU should, or should not do in 2014. That is really your business and whether you make a new year resolution, or not is really up to you.

The only wish I have for you is that in 2014 you push your limits in your personal style. Stop worrying about how things look on, or what people will think. You like it? Then wear it, please!

The best way to ring in the new year in terms of fashion of course, is to start thinking about new trends and fresh new looks. So I want to share some of my favorite Spring 2014 trends.  To learn more, simply click on the images.

Here is Pantone’s official list of trend colors and I could not love them more. My top three picks would have to be Violet Tulip, Dazzling Blue, and Cayenne. What are your fav’s?

I really love color, no surprise. I look forward to a new year filled new trends, new looks, and fresh colors. I have chosen a few major trends that I want to share with you guys. Here are some of my favorite trending styles for 2014.

1. Oxford Style, Boyish Bliss.

This trend is classic and edgy at the same time. I love menswear with a twist.

2. Artistic Pop

Wearing artistic and bold graphics are sure to make a statement and turn heads. This trend is definitely a fun one that takes confidence to pull off. It seems reminiscent of the late 80’s/early 90’s. I love some retro flair.

3. Metal Magnificence

There is something so magical about this trend. I love sparkle, so maybe that is why I am drawn to it. I just find sheen and shine so extravagant and fun.

4. Sporty Spunk and Spice.

For those of you who do not know me, I am not athletic by any means. That being said, I can’t help but love these looks. Mixing casual with cocktail is edgy. Everyone seems to love wearing workout clothes on a daily basis, so why not make it actually on trend? Sassy sport style is definitely in.

5. Tea length, flowing skirts.

So we have done maxi, high-low, midi, and now we are on tea! I can’t lie, I love this romantic and vintage trend. Honestly I felt like midi skirts were a retro mistake, they make women look wider by falling at the worst possible place and cutting ladies into awkward, top heavy halves. You can’t go wrong with this trend though. A full flowing skirt cut at the ankles.

6. Flirty floral

So, you already know I am in love with all things floral. So I could not keep floral out of my top picks for 2014. I am relieved that floral is sticking around for another season. It speaks for itself and really compliments whatever it is paired with. The picture above is a great representation of that.

So everyone, point being…let’s hope that next year is a great one. I hope that if you do set a resolution for yourself, you can keep it. I know I never keep mine, lol. I also hope you have a fashion filled year!

Thanks for reading, feel free to share your thoughts. What are your goals, or style picks for the new year?!

Have a fabulous week, I hope to be truly up and running soon.

until next time,

stay cute, stay sweet.
