It’s Friday, Friday, Friday. My most favorite day of the week. There is something magical about a Friday. I spend my time dreaming of the endless possibilities of what I can do, or where I will go in the next two days of total freedom from my daily responsibilities of the day to day job. 🙂 At least that is what Friday’s mean to me. Hope you have really fun plans!
I want to show you what I did in our living room. I told you I would share my crazy crafts with you as I dabble in interior decorating in this new house of ours. I am having a blast, but I change my mind frequently. Which isn’t a good thing for my wallet.
Here is a before shot of our living room.
I had the idea to cover the back panels with scrapbook printed paper, until I saw on a fellow blogger’s page the idea of wrapping paper! I scored this thick paper for $2.99 at our local Home Goods.
I love the way this paper gave some depth to this very white space.
Here is a close up of each side. I LOVE the polka dots!
A lot of my home décor, if you are wondering…comes from antique fairs, flea markets, Hobby Lobby, Kirkland’s, Michael’s, Marshall’s, Target, and TJ Maxx.
To fit into the shelves I measured the height and width of the space, once I took the shelves out of the way.
I love mix matched pieces, old and new stuff scrambled together.
I will say this project was very tedious you need a lot of patience (which I don’t possess) to get your measurements just right and to make sure it covers perfectly.
Have a great weekend and hopefully you are having a fantastic summer. 🙂
until next time,
stay cute, stay sweet.

What a great idea! Love your blog! I’ve nominated you for the Fashionista Award! http://nikkiesays.wordpress.com/2014/06/27/the-fashionista-award/ -Nikkie 🙂
WOW! thank you so much! I can’t wait to check out the award. I am so honored. Thanks again. xoxo
This is so cute, the paper is fab! Also, great shade of blue! So fresh yet still classic 🙂
Ohhh, thank you so much! I was unsure of the blue at first, but it is definitely growing on me. Glad you like it! xoxo
This is such a great idea! I’m currently working on DIY projects for my house so I might integrate this… 🙂
Thank you! The best part about doing this is being able to change it whenever you want versus using paint, which is more permanent! Stay tuned for more DIY. I will be writing about my ventures with wreath making. 🙂
That’s great to hear! Keep it up. 🙂
thanks! 😀
