“HOW TO” Wardrobe Styling Options

how to, challenge edition

Hello again friends! I got this great idea from my amazingly creative and sweet sister in law. I want to show you in this edition of “how to” a way of taking staple key items and making as many different looks from just those pieces. Above you see 18 items, well I am about to show you 20 different outfits with only these shown pieces! I want you to feel good about the clothes you own and not feel the need to buy something new every time you feel in rut, or have an event to attend. Work with what you have! Get the most out of your wardrobe. Now sit back and relax, while I work my magic…
So, owning a basic tank that you can dress up or down is a must. It can be paired and layered in so many ways, or wear it as is. Here I layered it with different tops, a sweater, and scarf, but in all four looks you can opt out of the extra layer and wear it alone. Keeping in mind of course the time of year and weather. The the accessories and shoes are interchangeable as well!
For this option, please see that the white tee and chambray button down are interchangeable to each bottom. They can be worn together or separately as well. Owning a chambray blouse is great for layering and can be worn year round. Of course you can never go wrong with a t-shirt either. That makes twelve outfit options thus far.
Now for dresses. Having a printed dress, whether its floral, polka dots, stripes, abstract, whatever it may be is a great item to own. You want variety and fun! But keeping it basic with a LBD (little black dress) is an absolute must item for every closet! A black dress is timeless and can dressed up or down more than any other garment out there. Again you can layer these dresses, or wear them alone. So there you have it, 8 more outfits brings our total to 20 looks.
I hope this post inspired you to run home and organize your closet, start pairing these pieces into the perfect looks. Sorry, I am a total organizational dork. Have a great night love and as always stay tuned for more fun to come!
until next time,
stay cute, stay sweet.
