Here we are, it’s almost August practically and I haven’t shown my face since May! Quite frankly I haven’t been inspired to share anything with you guys and pregnancy has been a little rough. It’s hard to feel cute when you’re clothes are slowly fitting less and less. Not to mention the amount of options in your closet are shrinking by the week!
According to Instagram you would think being pregnant is sunshine and rainbows. It’s this beautiful experience and everything is just a dream. News flash, it’s heartburn, nausea, stretch marks, back pain, exhaustion, hot flashes, random pains that show up anywhere, and the list goes on.
I know I sound like a complaining, spoiled diva, don’t get me wrong pregnancy is truly a wonderful blessing and amazing process but it’s not easy and it’s not enjoyable all the time. I just want the reality of pregnancy to be known. I think a lot of women get wrapped up in the idea of wanting to have a baby with maybe not knowing how critical the process of growing a human being is on your body physically, emotionally, and mentally. With that being said, yes I love my little one already more than words can say. I don’t take my healthy pregnancy and baby for granted by any means. I know how fortunate I am and I am grateful to God for such a major blessing and responsibility he has bestowed on Travis and I.
I am 32 weeks along and the next thing on my to do list is pack my hospital bag. Not sure what I will really want or need but I can try to guess right? I am sure I will have all the wrong things packed and not have the things I actually do need. LOL Any recommendations from other mama’s would be great!
I have been able to wear a lot of my oversized clothes that are regularly sized, UNTIL now. At this point not many of my things can pass over my belly and/or BUTT. So I am relying only on my maternity clothes to make it the rest of the way, but I haven’t purchased many maternity items. Firstly, I don’t really like maternity clothes and second, I refuse to spend money on an entire new wardrobe of clothing that I won’t need again for a while. But I do have some staple basics that I keep on rotation. Leggings, tunics, loose dresses, maternity tanks and tees, and shorts.
This dress I am wearing is a regular dress and I paired it with a kimono from my boutique.
Here are two of the walls of the nursery! It’s slowly coming together!
Thank you so much for reading and listening to me moan an groan!
until next time,
stay cute, stay sweet.
